The Role:Β 

We are looking for a strategic, technically strong, and client-focused product leader to join our Scotia Digital team as aΒ Senior Digital Product Manager, Mobile Platform & Experience. In this role, you will lead the evolution of our mobile and authenticated digital platform capabilities across iOS, Android, and web ecosystems.Β 

The successful candidate will help shape the long-term platform roadmap, drive modernization initiatives, and partner closely with engineering, design, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, performant, and reusable digital experiences.Β 

You will play a critical role in defining how the mobile banking experience evolves through platform modernization, native and microapp enablement, performance optimization, reusable frameworks, and emerging industry capabilities.Β 

The ideal candidate combines strong product ownership capabilities with deep technical fluency across mobile and web technologies, modern architecture patterns, and digital platform strategy.Β

Lead Platform Product Strategy & RoadmapΒ 

  • Define and evolve the strategic roadmap for mobile and digital platform capabilities across iOS, Android, and web applications.Β Β 

  • Drive platform modernization initiatives focused on scalability, performance, resiliency, reusability, and maintainability.Β Β 

  • IdentifyΒ and evaluate industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive experiences to inform future-state platform evolution.Β Β 

  • Champion mobile-first and client-centric experiences while balancing technical feasibility, operational excellence, and speed to market.Β Β 

  • Develop strategic narratives, business cases, roadmap artifacts, and executive-ready materials that clearly articulate value, outcomes, dependencies, and investment priorities.Β 

Technical Product Management & Delivery LeadershipΒ 

  • Own and prioritize platform backlogs, translating strategic direction into epics, features, and actionable user stories.Β Β 

  • Lead discovery and solutioning activities with engineering and design teams to define scalable technical approaches and delivery plans.Β Β 

  • Partner closely with development teams across native mobile, web, and microapp ecosystems to ensure alignment on delivery priorities and technical direction.Β Β 

  • Guide initiatives spanning native iOS and Android applications, React-based experiences, Node.js services, APIs, and microapp architectures.Β Β 

  • Ensure capabilities are delivered with strong consideration for performance, reliability, accessibility, security, analytics, and operational scalability.Β Β 

  • Support delivery planning, release management, dependency management, and incremental value realization across multiple concurrent initiatives.Β Β 

  • Facilitate prioritization discussions across competing business and technical demands.Β 

Β Platform Modernization & Experience EvolutionΒ 

  • Drive initiatives focused on mobile platform health, modernization, UI framework evolution, and experience consistency across channels.Β Β 

  • Help define reusable platform capabilities, design patterns,Β componentΒ strategies, and governance approaches that accelerate delivery across teams.Β Β 

  • Partner with engineering teams to improve app performance, stability, and technical health metrics.Β Β 

  • Contribute to the evolution of native and hybridΒ mobile/web strategies, including microapp enablement and modular architecture approaches.Β Β 

  • Advocate for simplification, scalability, and long-term platform sustainability in product and technology decision-making.Β 

Β Stakeholder Leadership & Cross-functional CollaborationΒ 

  • Partner with Design, Business Lines, Engineering, Marketing, and Analytics teams to align deliverables to strategic priorities.Β Β 

  • Influence and align senior stakeholders on strategic direction, sequencing, and implementation approaches.Β Β 

  • Communicate roadmap progress, delivery outcomes, technical trade-offs, risks, and dependencies clearly to leadership audiences.Β Β 

  • Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional agile teams to drive execution excellence and continuous improvement.Β Β 

  • Ability to pivot quickly and manage roadmap and deliverable prioritization.Β Β

  • Experience working with modern web and mobile technologies including React, Node.js, APIs, and microapp architectures.Β Β 

  • Strong understanding of platform modernization, scalable architecture patterns, performance optimization, and reusableΒ componentΒ strategies.Β Β 

  • Expert-level understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies is considered a significant asset.Β Β 

  • Deep knowledge of authenticated digital experiences, enterprise-scale applications, and high-availability platforms.Β Β 

  • Experience defining KPIs, OKRs, and success metrics tied to platform health, delivery efficiency, and client experience outcomes.Β
