Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to lead the development and strategy of our Automation Framework for Virtualized Android, Linux, and QNX-based In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with Agile product leadership to drive automation initiatives across multiple platform teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the vision, roadmap, and backlog for the Automation Framework.
  • Prioritize automation features and capabilities based on business value, technical feasibility, and team capacity.
  • Define KPIs for automation coverage, stability, efficiency, and adoption.
  • Guide the team on automation needs for virtualized Android environments, Linux/QNX subsystems, and Qualcomm SOM-based hardware.
  • Oversee IFE system integration and certification workflows.
  • Write well-structured epics, features, and user stories for automation tooling, framework improvements, APIs, and test workflows.
  • Refine backlog items with engineering teams to ensure clarity, feasibility, and alignment with automation strategy.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Master and Engineering Lead to drive predictable, sprint-based delivery.
Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary liaison between automation engineering and product/program stakeholders.
  • Gather requirements from system verification, platform software teams, airline program teams, and integration labs.
  • Communicate roadmap, progress, risks, and dependencies with clarity and frequency.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 7โ€“10 years of experience in automation frameworks, embedded systems, or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience with Virtualized Android environments, Linux, QNX, and Qualcomm SOM.
  • Strong understanding of automation framework architecture, including hardware abstraction, virtualized interfaces, DUT orchestration, and reporting pipelines.
  • Experience writing epics, features, and user stories in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of IFE systems and certification workflows is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Scrum Certified Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent.
  • Experience in airline or automotive infotainment systems.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, or test automation frameworks.
