Job Requirements
  • 4+ years experience leading and managing engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, building, refactoring and releasing large scale native apps in a distributed global environment.
  • Experience in Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams is desirable
  • Proven experience with Java and Kotlin on Android or Objective-C and Swift on iOS.
  • Experience with TDD, pair programming, code reviews, and other techniques to maintain high-quality code and resiliency.
  • Experience working on sophisticated systems with an outstandingly large customer base.
  • Quality-first mindset with an emphasis on crafting features with testability as a pre-requisite.
Job Functions

You will be leading our Search native app development team, helping to continuously modernize our platform, strive for technical and operational excellence, and to re-imagine and design the future of Search at eBay.

  • Help us design and build the next generation of Search at eBay.
  • Mentor and grow other engineers while raising the bar on the teamโ€™s technical excellence.
  • We follow agile practices and focus on continual improvement in our practices, driven from the ground up. We expect you to advocate for improvements in our code and our process, and to support your teammates along the way.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and other teams, dividing up well-defined tasks in a structured, self-organizing culture.
  • Partner and collaborate with other organizations throughout eBay.

As part of the team, you'll also share your knowledge with the wider team as well as learning about and contributing to our core mobile experience.

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$156,800 - $255,300

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an โ€œat-will positionโ€ and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
