Job Description:
Nexus 5 Group Superintendent will play a key role in ensuring a great project gets delivered to our customers. We are looking for that special person to join and enhance our culture. Nexus 5 Group was a 2021 finalist for Best Places to Work per the Kansas City Business Journal.
Responsibilities:
  • Creating and maintaining project schedules to proactively communicate expectations to the project team, resulting in timely project completion.
  • Creating and maintaining, RFI's, job notes/daily logs, progress tracking, timesheets, and cost coding material receipts to effectively communicate with Project Manager and Project Engineer
  • Knowing and maintaining the construction documents on site (drawings, as-builts, specs, submittals, shop drawings, RFI's and change orders) to ensure that all subcontractors are working from the current documents
  • Clearly and proactively communicating with all team members, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Enforcing project rules, safety, and good conduct by maintaining good project site signage, safety equipment usage, frequent project walks and documentation
  • Ensuring all equipment, company vehicles and warehouse are to be kept clean, orderly and in good condition
  • Embracing training and mentoring opportunities. Assist others in their professional growth as well
  • Being able and willing to provide the skilled labor necessary to perform scopes as needed on your project and for others.
  • Holding yourself accountable for overall success of the projects. Own your challenges and celebrate your successes
  • Being proactive in seeking out projects from the Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure your goals are met
Qualifications:
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience as an on-site leader
  • Android and Windows basic navigation
  • MS Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work
