Job description

Transmission Apprentice Lineman

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-oriented Transmission Apprentice Lineman to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground transmission lines. The Apprentice Lineman works under the supervision of the Line Superintendent, Line Foreman, Working Foreman, and Journeyman Linemen, and is expected to perform all duties within the scope of training, certification, and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground transmission lines.
  • Perform assigned duties in accordance with established training levels, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities under the direction of experienced linemen.
  • Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and effectively.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at heights as required.
  • Follow company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures.
  • Fundamental understanding of the electrical transmission system preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must meet the physical requirements of the position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; enrollment in or completion of an apprentice lineman program preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
