Job description

Job Title: CT Technologist - CT Main
Location: Eureka, California, United States
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Shift: Day or Variable (Call schedule participation required)
Client is seeking a certified CT Technologist to join the CT Imaging department in Eureka, CA. Working under the direction of the department director and lead technologist, and in collaboration with radiologists, this position requires performing a variety of diagnostic CT imaging procedures according to established protocols and age-specific criteria.
This is a hands-on clinical role ideal for a technologist who is confident in high-volume environments and values patient interaction, technical accuracy, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic CT procedures with a focus on image quality and patient safety.
  • Operate and maintain CT equipment, troubleshoot basic technical issues.
  • Provide age-appropriate patient care and communication.
  • Participate in quality control checks, workflow improvements, and documentation.
  • Act as a technical resource to peers and medical staff.
  • Serve as a customer service liaison to patients, families, and providers.
  • Participate in the call rotation to ensure adequate departmental coverage.
Required Qualifications
  • ARRT - Radiography (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) - Required upon hire
  • ARRT - CT (Computed Tomography) - Must be obtained within 1 year of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the AMA
  • 5 years of experience as a primary technologist in a high-volume CT facility
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Holds ARRT Radiography certification at hire, and CT certification within 1 year
  • Strong experience in CT scanning protocols and radiation safety
  • Excellent communication and patient-care skills
  • Can function independently and as a part of a collaborative imaging team
  • Open to relocation to Eureka, CA, and willing to participate in call schedule
