We are seeking an experienced Escrow Officer to join our team of career-minded professionals at Anchor Title Service's Cape Coral, FL branch.

Position Purpose:  

Under the Director of Title Services, this position will serve as the Escrow Officer in Jacksonville and will complete real estate transactions by determining requirements, clearing titles, assembling and reviewing closing documents, and disbursing funds.  

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine escrow requirements by studying and following buyer, seller, and lender instructions
  • Obtain clear titles by ordering title reports, resolving title defects, and satisfying liens and encumbrances
  • Establish escrow accounts by depositing funds and maintaining account records
  • Close escrow accounts by balancing and disbursing funds
  • Prepare escrow instructions and title documents
  • Complete calculations by prorating taxes and interest
  • Communicate with lenders regarding such things as follow-up needs and instructions
  • Manage all phases of documentation and closing including, but not limited to, assembling and reviewing documents, completing documents and obtaining signatures, recordings and filings, and preparing final closing statements and title disbursements
  • Schedule, coordinate, and conduct closings
  • Review paperwork with all parties, answer questions, and explain provisions and procedures as needed during closing meetings 
  • Ensure compliance with title and escrow regulations
  • Maintain a current knowledge of title, escrow, and closing laws and practices  

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent Active license from Florida 3 or more years of experience in escrow and closings in Florida
  • Demonstrated knowledge of title, escrow, and closing laws and practices in Florida
  • Experience providing excellent customer service
  • Able to manage time effectively, prioritize appropriately, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Able to develop and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships
  • Able to adapt to a rapidly growing company
  • Able to listen and understand information and ideas presented in spoken words
