As the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager you will partner with Sr. Director of Integrated Marketing to ensure alignment on strategy, evaluate incoming partnerships, focusing on creating high-value alliances that drive incremental growth, enhance brand standards, and authentically expand into new audience segments. This role needs an action oriented manager with a track record or demonstrated project management in building partnership pipelines and executing with excellence to drive consumer and commercial success. 

What You Will Do

Partnership Development:

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of strategic partnerships that align with Ancestry’s mission and commercial goals.

  • Negotiate and secure partnerships that deliver significant commercial and consumer value. 

  • Leverage Ancestry’s unique market position to enter and expand within new customer segments through strategic alliances.

Strategic Execution and Relationship Management:

  • Implement and manage partnership agreements, ensuring they meet strategic objectives and deliver expected business impacts.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partner stakeholders to ensure strategic, financial and creative alignment. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of partnership initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with creative, integrated marketing, sales, product, and legal teams to align partnership strategies with broader business objectives.

  • Drive initiatives that complement Ancestry’s market approach, ensuring consistency across all platforms and touchpoints.

  • Proactively seek potential partnerships that align with our goals, provide authentic cultural entry points for audience expansion. 

Performance and Impact Analysis:

  • Define and track key performance metrics for each partnership.

  • Report on the effectiveness and return on investment of partnership activities, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. 

  • Approximately 5-7 years of strategic business development or partnership management experience, preferably in consumer technology or subscription-based industries.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies that resulted in measurable commercial success.

  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to translate complex data into actionable business plans.

  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills.

Compensation

Ancestry values pay transparency and equity. As a signatory of the ParityPledge in Support of Women and the ParityPledge in Support of People of Color, we are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $106,000 - 118,000, with eligibility for bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision.
