Position Description Summary:
The Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences invites applications for a full-time (12-month) non-tenure-track faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level with a salary commensurate with experience. This position is expected to begin as early as January 2026.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include teaching didactic and laboratory courses in Gross Anatomy and either/Histology/Neuroanatomy. All courses are team-taught with a strong clinical emphasis. Additional responsibilities include engagement in scholarly activities and providing service at the departmental, school, and university levels.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have a terminal degree (PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent) in anatomy or a related field, or must have completed all the requirements for their doctoral degree by the date of appointment. Experience in teaching at the university level is required.
Advertised Salary:
$125,000 to $180,000
