Job summary: Responsible for performing cardiovascular and interventional radiological procedures. Performs radiographic diagnostic and interventional procedures in the interventional service line, upon the order of a licensed practitioner. Provides for optimal patient care applying departmental standards and protocols. Exercises professional judgement in performance of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology procedures. Provides appropriate patient care and recognized patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Interacts professionally with patient and family; treats patients and families with respect and dignity
  • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
  • Responsible for the operation of x-ray equipment, radiation safety and the safe handling of Images
  • Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions; provides immobilization or support devices; shields patients accordingly

Qualifications
Regulatory Requirements Tech:
  • Graduate of an accredited educational program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology Special Procedures or Cath Lab preferred.
  • Experience with scrubbing preferred.
  • Ability to participate in on-call schedule on a regular basis for special procedures.

  • Licensure Requirements :
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) OR RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) OR RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) certificate
  • Current BLS
  • ACLS within 6 Months

  • RN:
    • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Nevada.
    • Current POC license within 90 days.
    • Current BLS certification.
    • Current ACLS certification.
    • Minimum of one year experience in critical care.
    • Cath Lab/IR experiance required
    • Willing to take call/standby
