Job Description
Business Analyst & Project Manager
In collaboration with Syscon Justice Systems, Dynamic Planning & Response LLC (DP&R) is seeking a Business Analyst & Project Manager to strengthen its Professional Services team.
As a core member of the Professional Services department, you will be responsible for leading software implementation projects from requirements gathering through solution delivery. This role combines business analysis, project management, solution design, stakeholder engagement, quality assurance coordination, and knowledge management.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. In addition to supporting successful software delivery, this role will provide process guidance, mentorship, and subject matter expertise across the organization.
Requirements Analysis & Solution Design
  • Review, analyze, and document business and functional requirements in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering workshops, process discovery sessions, solution alignment meetings, and software walkthroughs.
  • Obtain stakeholder sign-off on business requirements and solution designs.
  • Validate feasibility studies, effort estimates, and implementation approaches.
  • Evaluate business cases and identify cost impacts, value drivers, risks, and dependencies associated with proposed solutions.
  • Drive the design and conceptualization of solution options that meet client and organizational objectives.
  • Create and maintain business requirements documents, functional specifications, user stories, process maps, and solution design documentation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the Syscon product suite and related business processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of organizational knowledge and best practices.

Project Management & Delivery
  • Manage project activities, deliverables, timelines, and project artifacts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, status reports, risk registers, and project documentation.
  • Conduct project status meetings and communicate project progress to sponsors, stakeholders, and leadership teams.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and communicate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout project execution.
  • Coordinate activities across Business Analysis, Development, Quality Assurance, and client teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Support change management activities and implementation readiness.

Quality Assurance & Client Support
  • Work closely with QA and Development teams to ensure requirements are accurately translated into delivered solutions.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements, development activities, and testing outcomes.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities by validating issues, assessing business impact, and assisting with prioritization.
  • Assist in developing acceptance criteria and ensuring successful solution validation.
  • Support client training initiatives through a train-the-trainer approach.
  • Provide guidance to clients during implementation, go-live, and post-implementation activities.

Leadership & Collaboration
  • Actively support the organization's strategic goals, values, and commitment to a high-performance culture.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Support the onboarding and development of new employees by serving as a role model and resource.
  • Foster collaboration between business, technical, and client teams.

What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within a software delivery, implementation, business analysis, or project management environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing software implementation or enterprise application projects.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and workshop leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience documenting business requirements, functional requirements, workflows, and solution designs.
  • Comfortable presenting to groups of 20 or more participants.
  • Self-motivated, empathetic, approachable, and collaborative.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic project environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Criminology, or a related field.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within North America, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are considered assets:
  • Experience working within the corrections, justice, public safety, or government sectors.
  • Experience supporting enterprise software implementations.
  • Sales operations or business operations experience.
  • Experience creating process maps, workflow diagrams, wireframes, or UML models.
  • Experience working in highly regulated operational environments.

Compensation & Benefits
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary Range: $70,000 - $105,000 per year
