Position Summary:

We are seeking a Project Manager to facilitate the success of strategic data analytics initiatives. The Data Analytics Project Manager, an emerging role in our Data Analytics Solution Center, will be pivotal in helping drive various data analytics initiatives under the guidance of the Chief Data Officer and Director of Data. This role is responsible for planning, overseeing, and leading projects from ideation through to completion and requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously. The ideal candidate possesses technical project management experience and is self-driven, highly organized, and has very effective time management skills.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Data Transformation Projects
    • Supports the Chief Data Officer and Director of Data in broader efforts to implement our specific data strategy; point person on special data analytics projects (i.e., Data Literacy, Intranet Portal Page)
    • Serves as the point of contact for the Data Analytics Solution Center when multiple business units are assigned to the same project.
    • Responsible for the preparation and facilitation of the Data Analytics Board (DAB).
  • Project Management
    • Serve as a conduit of knowledge between functional and technical teams.
    • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor the progress of projects to ensure forward momentum.
    • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.
    • Motivate teams to work together, communicate, and deliver effectively.
    • Identifies, understands, and works to mitigate issues and risks proactively with leadership.
    • Manages the tactical aspects of vendor relationships, including invoice processing, MSA processing, NDA processing, other coordination's, etc.
    • Track actions/deliverables and interface with internal and external resources to ensure deliverables are met.
    • Update the PMO and project stakeholders on the status of various Tier 2 initiatives.
  • Event Management
    • Work with all team members to ensure that all business/data analytics requests are logged; coordinate with team members to ensure tickets are closed in a timely fashion.
    • Maintain and update Jira Service Management to ensure the system is optimized and provides an inviting user experience.
Interview Process:
  • 1st Round:
    • One-on-one Zoom meeting with a Senior member of the Data Analytics team
  • 2nd Round:
    • Panel interview with 4 upper-level members of the Data Analytics team (Onsite, if possible, virtual if not).
Requirements:
  • 2-4+ years of technical project management experience working on various project types
  • Proficient with project management software tools (Jira, Atlassian, Trello, Smartsheet, etc.), methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience with Smartsheet or MS Project
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice to have:
  • Proven ability to set clear priorities, manage projects and tasks with limited oversight.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Familiarity with data analytics concepts and technologies.
  • Construction experience is preferred but not required.
  • CBAP or PMP preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • A bachelor's or equivalent work experience is required.
