Description -
Job Summary
This role is responsible for managing and leading the full portfolio of programs within the HP AI Lab. The AI Lab is focused on building AI models and deploying them to HP devices, with the goal of powering delightful end-user experiences across the HP device portfolio - representing some of the company's top P0 priorities. The role collaborates with a broad set of internal teams and external partners, keeps stakeholders informed of program progress and escalations, and proactively identifies and implements improvements in process, products, and business practices.
Responsibilities
  • Manages and leads AI Lab programs involving multiple functions and program teams, driving engineering development and deployment of AI models across the HP device portfolio.
  • Directs the development of overall program strategy, resource allocation plans, and milestone tracking for AI Lab initiatives.
  • Manages relationships with external partners including IHVs (e.g., Qualcomm) and ecosystem partners such as Microsoft; holds partners accountable to committed deliverables.
  • Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product and engineering stakeholders; collaborates across teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitors and enforces project schedules and quality with vendors and internal development partners.
  • Runs cross-functional meetings across many teams and stakeholder groups; drives alignment and clear ownership on action items.
  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and Gen AI capabilities into programs and activities.
  • Reviews and evaluates program plans for compliance with program management standards; provides feedback to improve execution quality and results.
  • Leads and mentors less-experienced staff to set an example of program management excellence.

Education & Experience
  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Typically 10+ years of work experience in program management, preferably with exposure to AI/ML product programs, engineering development, or hardware-software co-development.
  • Demonstrated experience managing programs with Gen AI components.
  • Experience managing IHV or ISV partner relationships and driving accountability against external commitments.
