Job description

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, Free Market Health supports forward-thinking payers and specialty pharmacies of all sizes who need to operate in a complex and opaque market. We empower all stakeholders to optimize resources and maximize opportunities while focusing on the most important stakeholder of all: the patient.
The Role:
We are seeking a Pharmacy Enablement Program Manager in our Pittsburgh, PA Headquarters office to lead the execution and ongoing management of pharmacy program initiatives across our platform and client base. This role plays a critical part in translating strategy into scalable, operational programs that drive client success and organizational growth.
You will partner closely with cross-functional teams including Pharmacy Strategy, Product, Engineering, Client Services, Technology, and Analytics to ensure programs are implemented effectively, operate efficiently, and continuously improve over time.
This opening may support one of two Pharmacy Enablement focus areas: pharmacy network support/onboarding or pharmacy systems integrations. Final role focus will be determined based on candidate experience, business need, and team structure.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead execution of pharmacy programs from implementation through steady-state operations, ensuring alignment to defined objectives, timelines, and success metrics
  • Support pharmacy network onboarding and engagement activities, including coordination across contracting, training, data collection, credentialing, and go-live readiness to create a consistent pharmacy experience.
  • Coordinate pharmacy systems integration workstreams, including status file monitoring, issue tracking, exception follow-up, and alignment between Pharmacy, Technology, Analytics, and operational teams.
  • Partner with Pharmacy Success and other internal stakeholders to ensure pharmacy-facing communications, readiness activities, and operational handoffs are clear, consistent, and scalable.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans, timelines, and deliverables; proactively track progress and ensure accountability across stakeholders
  • Partner cross-functionally with Pharmacy Strategy, Product, Technology, Client Services, and Analytics to drive coordinated execution and alignment
  • Identify, manage, and resolve risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate when needed to ensure timely resolution
  • Monitor and analyze program performance, partnering with Analytics to define KPIs, track outcomes, and drive continuous improvement
  • Support creation and adoption of standardized program management practices, implementation playbooks, and operational workflows
  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication across stakeholders, including executive-level reporting and decision tracking
  • Identify opportunities to improve program scalability, efficiency, and effectiveness through process optimization
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and special projects supporting pharmacy program expansion and operational maturity

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, pharmacy, or a related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of program or project management experience in a complex, cross-functional environment
  • Specialty pharmacy, payer, PBM, pharmacy operations, external partners, or vendor management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working directly with external partners, specialty pharmacies, vendors, or healthcare stakeholders preferred.
  • Comfort working with technical teams, data/reporting concepts, system workflows, and issue-resolution processes; technical aptitude and learning agility are important for integration-focused work.
  • Demonstrated success leading initiatives from implementation through ongoing operational management
  • Strong program management skills including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder coordination
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Monday.com, or similar) and collaboration platforms

Nice to Have:
  • Advanced degree in healthcare, business, or related field
  • PMP, Agile, or Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience supporting pharmacy program implementations or healthcare technology platforms
