Analytics Engineer Intern information

What does an Analytics Engineer Intern do?

An Analytics Engineer Intern supports the data team by building and maintaining analytics infrastructure, such as data pipelines and dashboards. They work with both raw data and business teams to ensure data is accessible, clean, and ready for analysis. Typical responsibilities include writing SQL queries, developing data models, and collaborating with data analysts and engineers to deliver insights. The role provides hands-on experience with data tools and real-world business problems, serving as a bridge between engineering and analytics. This helps organizations make data-driven decisions more efficiently.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Analytics Engineer Intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Analytics Engineer Intern, you need a solid understanding of data analysis, SQL, and foundational programming concepts, often supported by coursework in computer science, statistics, or a related field. Familiarity with data warehousing tools such as dbt, cloud platforms like Snowflake or BigQuery, and visualization tools like Tableau or Looker is typically required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate insights clearly will help you stand out in this role. These skills and qualities are vital for transforming raw data into actionable insights and ensuring data-driven decision-making within organizations.

What is the difference between Analytics Engineer Intern vs Data Analyst Intern?

Job description

About the Role

At H3X, we are building the most advanced electric motors in the world for sustainable aviation, marine, industrial, and defense applications. At 12 kW/kg continuous, the HPDM family of integrated motor drives is a step change in electric propulsion technology and removes one of the main barriers blocking widespread proliferation of electric and hybrid aircraft. Our motors range in size from 30 kW to 30 MW, include integrated drives, and are 3X lighter than competitors’ systems.

H3X is looking to hire a manufacturing engineering intern to support the low volume production line across all the HPDM product lines. This is not an ordinary internship- you will be given the full responsibility of a manufacturing engineer. The production team is rapidly deploying new processes and improvements to meet the growing demand for the HPDM product lines. A high degree of self-motivation and responsibility is required as you will be given significant freedom and will be directly responsible to produce your assigned parts. We are looking to hire a full time intern with a focus on the Fall 2026 Semester for a minimum of 12 weeks, but open to extended periods as well based on candidate availability.

    • Interface with manufacturing engineers and assembly technicians

    • Create, implement, and revise process plans and mBOMs to support production
