Job Summary (Basic Functions): LG Chem Advanced Materials, Inc. (LGCTA) is actively searching for a QC Lab Shift Supervisor to join our Quality Control team in Clarksville, TN. The QC Lab Supervisor will be responsible for supporting mass production quality by performing laboratory testing, operating analytical instruments, and assisting with overall QC inspection tasks

There are two levels of responsibility within this role: Shift Leader and Technician/Inspector. Both roles are part of a rotating shift schedule to provide 24/7 quality support. This position is based full-time in Clarksville, TN and is not a remote role.

What You will Be Doing Essential Functions (including but are not limited to): Shift Leader Responsibilities: Supervise QC inspectors in the assigned shift and manage attendance/shift operations. Possess overall understanding of all analytical tests performed in the QC Lab (pH, Moisture, Air Jet Sieve, H-XRF, SEM, PSD, ICP-OES, XRD, P-XRF, BET, Tap Density, Coin Cell, etc.) Provide technical support and backup assistance to inspectors when needed, ensuring continuity of lab operations. Conduct regular inspection and basic maintenance of lab utilities and analytical instruments

Prepare and maintain laboratory safety and environmental compliance documents. Responsible for the ordering, receiving, and inventory control of laboratory consumables. Perform quality checks for packaging materials.

Receive incoming samples, prioritize, and schedule analysis tasks. Handle preparation and shipment of advanced customer samples (e.g., portioning into aluminum pouches and boxing). Act as first escalation point for abnormal data, equipment issues, or safety concerns before reporting to QC Engineers

Input and maintain analysis data in designated systems with high accuracy. Conduct safety talk. Perform job duties in accordance with LG Chem safety policies.

Technician / Inspector Responsibilities: Conduct chemical, physical, and Electrochemical Characterization of the materials using different analytical techniques such as : pH Titrator, Moisture Analyzer, Air Jet Sieve, H-XRF, Auto-SEM, PSD Analyzer, ICP-OES, XRD, P-XRF, BET Analyzer, Tap Density Analyzer, Coin Cell Assembly & Test, etc. in accordance to SOPs. * Analytical tasks will be assigned based on individual qualification and competency assessments.

(Not every technician will operate all instruments; responsibilities will be distributed according to training completion and certification level.) Conduct regular inspection and basic maintenance of analytical instruments. Dispose of analyzed samples and related materials according to safety guidelines. Act as first escalation point for abnormal data, equipment issues, or safety concerns before reporting to QC Engineers

Assist with the review of laboratory safety and environmental compliance documents. Assist with the ordering, receiving, and inventory control of laboratory consumables. Perform routine lab maintenance for e.g., replace and monitor lab filters (air, water, gas) as required

Inspect packaging materials (bags, ton-bags) for compliance with quality standards. Receive incoming samples, prioritize, and schedule analysis tasks. Handle preparation and shipment of advanced customer samples (e.g., portioning into aluminum pouches and boxing)

Input and maintain analysis data in designated systems with high accuracy. Perform job duties in accordance with LG Chem safety policies. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Higher education is not required; candidates should demonstrate a strong ability and willingness to learn and grow in a laboratory and production environment. Requirements: Background in laboratory or manufacturing quality operations is preferred but not required.

Success can be achieved through demonstrated learning capability and adaptability in a handson environment. Basic computer skills (Excel, data entry, reporting). Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends as required.

Must be able to wear PPE (safety shoes, glasses, masks, respirator, PAPR, gloves, gowns, hearing protection, etc.). Preferred Qualifications Experience operating or supervising analytical instruments (ICP-OES, XRF, SEM, PSD, BET, XRD, titrator, tap density, coin cell assembly). Previous experience in chemical, battery, powder, or materials QC environment

Familiarity with ISO/IATF quality standards and document control. Experience supporting audits, sample shipment, or consumables management.
