In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Lead laboratory priorities and activities as a team lead, ensuring testing, calibration, maintenance, and reporting activities align with organizational goals and performance expectations. 
  • Drive accurate and timely analyses, data acquisition, and interpretation to support informed technical and business decisions. 
  • Maintain and optimize electronic engineering tools and standard and specialized test equipment to ensure reliability, readiness, and compliance. 
  • Provide technical leadership in planning, scheduling, and executing testing activities on electronic systems and vehicles. 
  • Develop, apply, and advance test methods to enhance laboratory capabilities and expand the effective use of specialized analytical instruments. 
  • Elevate team capability by mentoring and training technicians on advanced equipment, analytical techniques, and test methodologies. 
  • Strengthen cross-functional collaboration by interfacing management, engineers, customers, suppliers, and other teams, including delivering technical presentations. 
  • Promote continuous improvement and quality by leading audits, corrective actions, and improvement projects while adapting to evolving priorities and new challenges.

  • 1.This candidate will be part of the Test Systems & Simulation Team. They will be responsible for helping design, manufacture, test, and support hardware and software related to End of Line (EOL) functional testing. The technical platform is related to Cummins electronic controls and some other finished products.
  • 2. This Candidate must be proficient with electronic principles and electronic test equipment like multimeters, waveform generators, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.Basic wiring skills including soldering, crimping, and harness assembly are also required. The candidate must understand PCB circuitry and know how to read a wiring schematic.
  • 3.Current product support will also be expected. This candidate will need to be able to troubleshoot complex, malfunctioning systems.They will need to have some experience with object-oriented programming (.NET) for troubleshooting/debugging test applications.They will need to work collaboratively with both onsite and international plant manufacturing teams.They will need to provide the necessary support per product specifications.
  • 4. This candidate must be able to work with cross-functional teams.The candidate must be self-motivated, take initiative on problem solving, exhibit good time management, and engage in proper quality control on deliverables. This candidate will work independently on most assigned projects and must have good communication skills.
  • 5. Innovation is needed, and the candidate should make recommendations on how to keep test system solutions up to date and be prepared to implement solutions and updates that are identified. We are looking for someone with a strong attention to detail, safety, and adaptability.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Execute accurate and reliable data acquisition by preparing samples, verifying equipment calibration, and performing tests in accordance with approved procedures and work instructions.
  • Produce clear, well-organized technical documentation that communicates test methods, instrument settings, data, and analysis to support sound conclusions and recommendations.
  • Apply structured, data-driven problem-solving methods to resolve product issues, protect the customer, identify root causes, and prevent recurrence.
  • Design, build, and verify product software using industry best practices and robust software engineering principles to ensure quality and performance.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and decision quality by making timely, informed decisions that support progress and organizational objectives.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field is required.
  • Regionally applicable certification or two-year associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study may be required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
