Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Portfolio Manager in the day-to-day management of a discretionary Global Macro portfolio.
  • Conduct fundamental and thematic research across Emerging Markets, including macroeconomic developments, political events, central bank policy and asset markets.
  • Generate investment ideas across Emerging Markets and broader global macro opportunities.
  • Build analytical tools to support trade screening, idea generation and portfolio analysis using Excel and Python.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external experts, economists, strategists and other market participants across Emerging Markets.
  • Monitor global macro developments and identify cross-market investment opportunities beyond Emerging Markets where relevant.
  • Prepare investment analysis and present trade recommendations to the Portfolio Manager.
  • For the right individual, the role offers the opportunity to develop into an Associate Portfolio Manager with responsibility for managing capital.
  • 5-7 years' experience analyzing or trading Emerging Markets gained within an investment bank, asset manager or hedge fund.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or another quantitative discipline from a highly regarded university.
  • Solid experience in building analytical models using both Python and Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a self-starter.
  • Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • A keen eye for detail, a curious mindset, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Displays and operates at the highest degree of ethics and integrity.

Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $200,000 per year.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, market conditions and other factors. Employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonus compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
