We are seeking an Analyst to join our Multifamily loan origination team based out of New York City. This position provides organizational and analytical support to an Origination Team that delivers various agency and proprietary debt products to multifamily clients, including FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, CMBS, Bridge, and mezzanine.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and organize information from clients.
  • Input property financials into Excel financial models.
  • Research market data and analyze property operations.
  • Provide recommendations and proposals for ideal debt solution based on particular needs of the transaction.
  • Recognize issues and work with team to find solutions to deal obstacles.
  • Track timing and stages of each transaction as they progress.
  • Ability to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a team player.
  • Handle other duties as needed and assigned.

Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from a top-tier accredited college or university required. Degree in Real Estate, Finance, or Economics is a plus.
  • 0-2 years of prior experience in commercial real estate and experience sizing or underwriting Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac or FHA loans.
  • Knowledge of MS Office with advanced Excel skills required.
  • Unquestioned personal and professional integrity.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational/project-management skills.
  • Strong time management skills and a respect for deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Driven, innovative team-player who is focused on results and strives to deliver a superior work product.
  • Proven track record of success in prior academic or work experience.
  • Multifamily analytic /underwriting experience is a plus.

Greystone offers a competitive base salary and bonus. The base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000/year. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the annual review process.
