As we continue to grow, we are in search of a Corporate Financial Analyst to add to our team based out of Farmington Hills, Michigan. This role will be responsible for providing various real estate acquisition and development functions including underwriting, analysis, project tracking and business plan operational transaction.

As a successful Financial Analyst, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive underwriting and due diligence procedures on prospective real estate acquisition and development opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate financial models, projections, and analyses on prospective property developments, including property operational underwriting and return on investment modeling.
  • Communicate with brokers, sellers, lenders, developers, engineers and third parties to underwrite and track the transaction effectively.
  • Utilize Excel acquisition-underwriting templates and maintain other financial and analytical models for use in analyzing development projects, update as new data is received, and communicate model changes to appropriate parties.
  • Review, analyze, and comprehend a variety of documents, including rent rolls, budgets, operating statements, expense recovery reconciliations, loan agreements and other information used in the underwriting process.
  • Prepare and present all analysis results in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Assist with the preparation of investment packages.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business preferred.
  • 2 years of experience with cash flow underwriting experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding in financial statements, finance, and real estate cash flow modeling experience.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and in a team setting.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively coordinate and manage multiple assignments, as well as prioritize tasks and efforts.
  • Excellent verbal communication, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; highly proficient in Excel.
  • Knowledge of MRI software a plus.
