Job description

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. ISSO to support a tech company located the Raleigh, NC area. This Sr. ISSO position is ideal for a security professional with extensive experience supporting classified environments, Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, and Intelligence Community compliance initiatives. The Sr. ISSO is a long term contract opportunity and requires you to sit onsite in Raleigh, NC 5 days per week. Responsibilities of the Sr. ISSO: * Support system accreditation efforts in compliance with ICD 503 and RMF requirements.
* Maintain security documentation, policies, procedures, and authorization packages.
* Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and continuous monitoring activities.
* Implement and validate Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) across systems and networks.
* Collaborate with system administrators, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure security compliance.
* Assist with audits, inspections, and remediation activities for classified environments.
* Provide cybersecurity guidance and recommendations to support system security posture.
Requirements of the Sr. ISSO: * Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP).
* 5+ years of Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) experience.
* Strong hands-on experience implementing and managing STIG compliance.
* In-depth knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503 and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
* Strong knowledge of system administration, networking, and various cybersecurity technologies.
* Experience supporting classified government environments.
Compensation for the Sr. ISSO: * Salary range: $150,000 - $180,000
