Responsibilities:

Assist engineers and other higher classified personnel in technical type functions related to the generation, assemblage, and verification of nuclear analysis information.

WORKING PROCEDURE AND/OR RESPONSIBILITY ASSIGNED:

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE USUAL MAJOR JOB DUTIES BUT THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT PRECLUDE THE PERFORMANCE OF OTHER DUTIES BY THE INCUMBENT, NOR THE QUESTION BEING RAISED ON THE PROPER RATE OF PAY FOR THE ASSIGNMENT.

  • This position identifies engineering work which requires a high degree of manipulative or other special skills acquired through experience, coupled with technical training and application of knowledge in the area of specialization.
  • This position supports engineering work which requires a high degree of manipulative or other specific skills acquired.
  • Assist in the analysis, summarization, and preparation of data into written and/or graphic form requiring calculations involving the use of basic algebraic formulae and trigonometric functions.
  • Review computer program input utilizing computer input sheets or specific check programs.
  • Assist in the preparation of computer input alterations and modifications based on information derived from initial raw data analysis.
  • Assist in the modification of existing non-complex computer programs.
  • Catalog and maintain computer input and output files, calculation notes and associated records.
  • Run data analysis and/or computer plotting programs utilizing existing computer systems.
  • The Engineering Technician may also be asked to support various engineering activities in their assigned functional group which are not limited to the above list. This will allow them to learn new skills and grow in their knowledge of engineering processes

Education Requirement:

  • Associates Degree Required- Technical curriculum.- Must Haves- 2 Courses in Math - 2 Course in Physics.

  • OR

  • 60 College Credits in an Engineering Curriculum- Must Haves- 2 Courses in Math - 2 Courses in Physics

Experience Requirement:

No amount of experience will be permitted to substitute for the required education in a Nuclear Analysis Technician position.However, recognized technical programs will be permitted to substitute for the required formal education.Some examples of acceptable technical programs would be the Naval Nuclear or other military programs.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $41,069.76 to $67,661.42 per year.​
