Job description
The Division of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging at the University of Virginia seeks a full-time Clinician Investigator to support and expand our clinical and academic programs. This recruitment is intended to strengthen core clinical services while continuing to advance innovation in molecular imaging and radiopharmaceutical therapy. Effort distribution and academic track will be aligned with the qualifications and career goals of the selected candidate. Applicants across a spectrum of academic profiles, from clinically focused faculty to clinician scientists, are encouraged to apply. The primary focus of this position is participation in a comprehensive clinical nuclear medicine and molecular imaging practice. Responsibilities will include interpretation of diagnostic nuclear medicine, PET CT, and hybrid imaging studies; participation in therapeutic radiopharmaceutical services and patient management; engagement in multidisciplinary conferences and direct collaboration with referring providers; call coverage within the division; and active participation in clinical operations, including workflow optimization, service line development, and program growth. The division is expanding its theranostics services, including structured clinical pathways for radiopharmaceutical therapy. Faculty members are expected to contribute to the continued development and delivery of these services. For candidates with relevant experience and interest, there may be opportunities to assume a substantive role in programmatic development and clinical leadership within theranostics.
