Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Case Manager to oversee life insurance cases from application through policy placement. This role serves as a key liaison between brokers, carriers, underwriters, and internal teams to ensure a smooth and efficient underwriting process. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and skilled at managing multiple cases while maintaining accuracy and delivering an exceptional broker experience.

Reports To: Operations Leadership
Employment Type: Full Time, On Site
Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 USD Annually

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage life insurance cases from submission through policy placement while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely follow-up
  • Review applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and carrier-specific requirements
  • Establish and maintain accurate case records within the Agency Management System (AMS)
  • Gather, organize, and manage medical, financial, and underwriting documentation throughout the application process
  • Coordinate with brokers, carriers, underwriters, and internal teams to facilitate case progression and resolve outstanding requirements
  • Monitor case status and proactively communicate updates to stakeholders throughout the underwriting process
  • Anticipate potential obstacles and identify solutions to minimize delays and improve placement outcomes
  • Prepare application packets, supporting documentation, and carrier submissions as needed
  • Maintain detailed records, case notes, and workflow updates to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
  • Assist with quotes, carrier portals, and additional case-related administrative responsibilities as required

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in case management, insurance operations, underwriting support, financial services, healthcare administration, loan processing, banking, compliance, or a related field
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset

Preferred

  • Experience within life insurance, insurance brokerage, underwriting, or carrier operations
  • Familiarity with Agency Management Systems (AMS), CRM platforms, or underwriting tools
  • Experience managing client files, documentation, and workflow processes from initiation through completion
