What You Should Know About The Role:
Job Summary:

This position will provide assistance to employees, officers, and other branch personnel via e-mails and phone calls. They will also assist with research of items in accounts, daily processing of wire transfers, ACH transactions, overdraft and exception items to include charge-offs, OD Protection (ODP), NSF’s and general exception questions, and quality control of new and existing accounts.

Job Duties amp; Responsibilities:
Daily Transaction amp; Exception Processing
  • Exception amp; Item Management: Process daily Non-posts, EIM (NSF), and other exception items.
  • Returns amp; Adjustments: Handle TCM Returns and execute check adjustments and returns directly through FISERV Client360.
  • ACH amp; Wires: Process and log domestic and international wires. Manage manual ACH returns (WSUD), process stop payments, and input/monitor ACH Originations, Loan Payments, and Transfers across PIM and LAS.
  • Deposits amp; Bonds: Approve Mobile and Remote Deposit Capture items. Process savings bonds and enter required interest at the portfolio level.
  • Correction Duties: Correct specific transaction errors, including manual tran code 22 transactions.
Balancing, Reconciliation amp; Financial Accuracy
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile various Byron Bank GL and DDA accounts daily, ensuring all GL descriptions are entered accurately.
  • ATM amp; Network Balancing: Perform daily ATM balancing and remediate any duplicate debits/credits, SCO/TCM entries, or ICL item entries.
Compliance, Auditing amp; Legal Servicing
  • Legal Postings: Review, process, and log highly confidential legal notices including tax levies, liens, court orders, citations, child support orders, subpoenas, Verification of Deposits (VODs), credit card payments, death notifications, and closed account processing.
  • System Auditing: Check daily assigned Director reports. Review Daily Maintenance Reports for dormant DDA/SAV changes, duplicates, and deleted items.
  • Overdraft Control: Review excessive overdraft (OD) customers, contact necessary parties, and generate/send required NSF 20+ letters.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Manage the yearly Unclaimed Property processing for abandoned property.
Frontline Support amp; System Maintenance
  • Teller Assistance: Assist frontline tellers with imaging questions and perform routine maintenance on Smart Source imagers.
  • Application Troubleshooting: Resolve immediate issues within the Integrated Teller application (including supervisor overrides and hardware/printer issues).
  • User Security: Manage user access by enabling accounts in Navigator and unlocking user profiles within SCO.
Administrative amp; Customer Support
  • Notice Fulfillment: Print, separate, and deliver official banking notices, statements, and print interest checks.
  • Research Assistance: Act as a back-office research resource by responding to branch customer service inquiries regarding complex or vague transaction descriptions posted to customer accounts.
  • Account Maintenance: Process foreign checks, returned mail, and address changes. Index scanned items in maintenance and remove recurring paper statement feeds for customers who successfully sign up for e-statements in Online Banking.

Required Skills amp; Attributes:
  • Attributes: High-level mathematical accuracy, practical problem solving skills, professional writing skills, and strong customer service skills.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Basic familiarity with Federal and State banking rules, including NACHA, Regulation CC (hold funds), Regulation E (debit card disputes), and Unclaimed Property law.
Education amp; Experience:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of bank operations, teller, or retail banking experience
  • Technical amp; Software Aptitude: Proficient in Microsoft applications, hands-on experience or direct ability to learn and use FISERV Client 360, Navigator, Director
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for up to 8 hours a day
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
Pay Range:
$17.00-$19.25 per hour

Compensation Overview:
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $17.00-$19.25 per hour, which reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for candidates who meet the standard qualifications for the role. Actual base pay will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, experience, and location.
