the job:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is a key driver of growth, working closely in the field with our US Professional Distribution network to support and execute the strategies set forth by amika. The RSM is fully responsible for managing their assigned territory to achieve corporate strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs).
The RSM will partner closely with distributor field sales and store teams to achieve sell-through, expand amika to new doors, and grow the in-salon brand share within existing doors.
salary: up to $100,000 + bonus
location: hybrid. must be based on the East Coast have the right to work in the US
what you'll do:
Business Strategy
  • Build long-lasting, strong relationships with all distributor stakeholders (stores, DSCs, leadership teams) in the assigned territory.
  • Analyze monthly sales reports for areas of opportunity and develop strategies to improve performance.
  • Communicate clearly, consistently, and in a timely manner with salons, sales consultants, distributor management, and all appropriate company team members.
  • Create and maintain a competitive atmosphere focused entirely on the achievement of sales goals.
  • Prioritize the most urgent and largest business opportunities utilizing strong time management skills.
  • Provide efficient feedback to appropriate company personnel regarding the effectiveness of strategies, training, selling tools, and products.

In-Field Strategy
  • Take full ownership to build out a proactive, ongoing in-field strategy that clearly outlines how to achieve set goals with the highest return on investment (ROI).
  • Maintain a complete understanding of the state of the business in the assigned territory-including goals, results against goals, year-over-year performance, and performance versus overall amika results.
  • Execute sales strategies, promotional activities, and marketing plans by territory and per sales channel.
  • Represent the company at regional and national conferences, events, and sales or planning meetings.
  • Ensure salons and stores are properly stocked and merchandised for maximum visual exposure and ease of shopping.
  • Identify, prospect, and convert high-potential target salons to expand the brand footprint into new doors.
  • Monitor, track, and regularly report on territory KPIs, ensuring tight alignment with amika's overarching national growth strategies.
  • Implement localized growth initiatives to maximize amika's brand share and shelf space within active salon accounts.

Education
  • Collaborate with amika personnel to execute an education strategy that will directly support retail and professional sell-through.
  • Identify educational needs and opportunities for all omnichannel points of sale in the territory.
  • Provide detailed product knowledge with consistency, professionalism, and brand-aligned verbiage to stores and salons, including how to sell features and benefits to both consumers and professionals.

must haves:
  • 3-5 years of experience in professional beauty sales or business development, preferably within the beauty industry.
  • Proven ability to build and execute strategic business plans and deliver against KPIs.
  • Experience working with distributor teams and Distributor Sales Consultants.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, including experience with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and training skills.
  • The ability to be self-motivated and manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory.
