America's Auto Auction is a full-service used-vehicle auction services provider that facilitates the wholesale remarketing of used vehicles for B2B customers, delivering a critical liquidity function to enable the used car sales ecosystem.  America's Auto Auction facilitates the selling and buying of used vehicles at physical auction sites across 19 states as well as on digital platforms.  America's Group continues its strategic focus on expanding its national footprint and service offerings by acquiring high-quality independent auctions led by strong operating management.  America's Auto Auction has grown to over 40 locations across 19 states.  As we continue to grow, we remain committed to our employees and communities we serve.  


We are seeking to add a skilled Automotive Technician/Mechanic to our growing team.  This position is responsible for diagnosis and repair of all vehicles to ensure that they are up to safety standards. Ensure that vehicles are ready for sale. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provide efficient and courteous service to all customers at all times. 
  2. Always exhibit 'hands on' and direct approach with customers.
  3. Diagnoses, coordinates inspection, repair and service of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of cars, vans and light trucks.  
  4. Carries out complex engine tune-ups, diagnose complicated faults or malfunctions to determine extent of repairs required.
  5. Adjusts, repairs or replaces parts and components..
  6. Oversee the cleaning, lubricating and other routine maintenance work on equipment.
  7. Maintain clean, orderly work area free of safety hazards.
  8. Work well independently as well as a team player
  9. Timely communication of issues that may be deemed as detrimental to the success of operations to Management.
  10. Performs other duties as necessary

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma, mechanical coursework completion 
  • Skills: Should be highly organized, self motivated and self disciplined. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Ability to operate all types of vehicles.

Requirements: 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Environment: The environment of the Mechanic involves working at the Auction and on the road representing the company upholding the highest standards of customer service. Those working in this position are subject to temperature changes, all types of weather conditions, elevated noise levels and at times fumes and odors associated with vehicle exhaust at times
