Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit requiring 2+ years of perinatal experience and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.

Details
  • Work in a Level IV Maternal Designation facility with 26 LDR suites, 6 C-section suites, 14 triage rooms, 60 mother-baby couplet rooms, and 16 monitored ante-partum beds
  • High-risk, fast-paced delivery service performing 500+ deliveries per month
  • Academic teaching service supporting large private OB practices
  • 24-hour in-house Attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage available
  • Facility supports a Perinatal Transport Program
  • Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
  • 13-week assignment length
Requirements
  • Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
  • BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
  • ACLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from AAP
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school required
  • 3-5 years of perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume delivery service preferred
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
  • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit supporting both academic teaching services and private OB practices
  • Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates to be considered at a reduced rate depending on facility location
  • Travelers should discuss potential extension with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
