Job Description:

The North American Marketing Specialist is a key member of the Instron marketing organization, serving as the primary lead for regional event execution, and assisting the team with digital communications, graphic design, and marketing support across North America.  This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role centered on managing trade shows, conferences, and customer events from initial planning through post-event reporting. In addition to complete event ownership, this role drives North American and global corporate social media presence, designs marketing assets using the Adobe Creative Suite, and maintains website pages to support regional lead generation and brand visibility.  This position requires strong organizational skills, creative capability, digital fluency, and a willingness to take ownership of both high-level event strategy and day-to-day execution.This position is based in Norwood, Massachusetts and requires a strong in-office presence to support collaboration, event preparation, and cross-functional teamwork.Key ResponsibilitiesPrimary Focus: End-to-End Event and Conference Management
  • Complete Event Ownership: Lead the end-to-end planning, promotion, logistics, execution, and follow-up for all North American trade shows, customer events, conferences, open houses, and regional programs.
  • Event Logistics & Execution: Manage all logistics, including booth scheduling, shipping, venue/vendor coordination, onsite setup, staffing, and teardown.
  • Event Promotion & Attendance: Drive attendance through targeted email campaigns, registration pages, website promotion, social media outreach, and direct alignment with sales teams.
  • Post-Event Strategy & Reporting: Coordinate all post-event activities, including lead capture, CRM routing, post-event reporting, thank-you communications, and attendee surveys.
Social Media Management
  • North American & Corporate Channels: Manage and execute social media strategy for North American business programs and corporate LinkedIn channels.
  • Content Strategy: Plan, write, and schedule engaging content to promote events, product launches, customer stories, and regional initiatives.
Graphic Design & Creative Production
  • Asset Creation: Design high-quality visual assets using the full Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) for email invitations, social graphics, event signage, and promotional collateral.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all digital and print materials adhere to corporate brand standards across all campaigns.
Website Maintenance & General Marketing Support
  • Website Management: Build, update, and maintain campaign landing pages, event registration pages, and regional content within the company website CMS.
  • Lead Tracking & Marketing Automation: Build email campaigns, forms, and automated workflows within HubSpot
  • General Marketing Support: Assist with additional marketing projects, asset coordination, and cross-functional sales support as business needs evolve.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Business, or a related field required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in event coordination, marketing communications, digital marketing, or creative support roles preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing trade shows, conferences, or corporate events end-to-end.
  • Hands-on proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for marketing asset design.
  • Experience managing corporate social media accounts, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Experience using marketing automation and CRM platforms (HubSpot and Salesforce preferred).
  • Ability to build and update web pages within WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
  • Strong project management, organization, and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25–30% to support events and regional programs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to work regularly from the Norwood, Massachusetts office.

Compensation Information:

This position has a salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 per year. Pay is determined by several factors, including a candidate’s experience, relevant skills, and qualifications
