Job Summary

The Table Games Dealer is responsible for dealing and controlling assigned card games accurately in accordance with department and company policies and standing operating procedures, and gaming regulations.

Job Description

Deals and controls the following assigned games:oBlackjack (Double Deck Pitch, Six Deck Shoe and Free Bet)oBaccarat (Mini and Midi)oPai GowoRouletteoSix Card PokeroThree Card PokeroUltimate Texas Hold'emPerforms proper calculation of winnings and provides accurate payout to guests.Performs maintenance and upkeep of all gaming tables and equipment when required. Creates an engaging positive atmosphere at the table. Encourages play when appropriate during dead game. Assists guests needs, including selling chips, service requests, game questions/inquiries, request for a Floor Supervisor, and questions regarding casino wide activities.Works with Floor Supervisors to inform them of any information pertinent to the table such as action on the table, buy-ins, guest needs, and any suspicious activity. Accepts table assignments and assists supervisors where needed. Reads any departmental memos and stays current on any casino or departmental policy or procedure changes. Notifies management of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely manner.Attends all schedule team member meetings and trainings such as annual Title 31, Guest Service Standards, and any other classes/meetings required by the company.Maintains knowledge of and effectively promotes company services, guest promotions, and players' club program. Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained. Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines Performs other duties as assigned.Does not provide supervision to other team members.High school diploma or general education degree (GED).California driver's license required.Must pass audition for specified games per Viejas business needs.Must be age 18 OR 21 years of age or older.2 or more years of experience dealing the list of assigned games.Experience dealing Craps preferred.Thorough knowledge of Blackjack, Baccarat, Pai Gow, Roulette, Six Card Poker, Three Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold'em and Craps (if applicable).Ability to work in a professional high-pressure environment while demonstrating and maintaining good personal relation/people skills and a positive attitude. Ability to multitask and work well under stress.Must be a self-starter and able to adjust to change.Must be able to work flexible hours during the day or evening including weekends, holidays, and all blackout dates.Thorough knowledge of Blackjack, Double Deck Pitch, Pai Gow, Baccarat, Roulette, Craps, and Carnival games.Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Strong guest service skills.
