The Learn the Business event is a half-day, in-person, invitation-only experience designed to provide high-potential undergraduate and graduate students with an inside look at American Express through immersive learning, meaningful networking, and career exploration.
During this experience, you'll have the opportunity to:
  • Learn about American Express and gain insight into our business, functions, and services through an in-depth company overview.
  • Hear directly from American Express colleagues about their career journeys and professional experiences.
  • Build meaningful connections through networking with company representatives.
  • Explore future internship opportunities across American Express, including opportunities in Atlanta, New York, Phoenix, Sunrise (Florida), and other U.S. locations.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree program.
  • Master's degree candidates with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required, as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these opportunities.

  • The American Express Learn the Business event will take place on Friday, September 25, 2026.
  • Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
  • Selected students will receive an invitation to complete event registration beginning as early as September 4, 2026.
  • Complete event details, including the venue, agenda, and registration instructions, will be provided to invited participants.
  • Space is limited. Applications must be submitted by Monday, August 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET for consideration.
