As a Safety Professional, you will be an important resource. You will drive the identification, assessment, analysis, and solving of a broad spectrum of safety issues across a diverse group of Disney Experiences businesses. This role will focus on supporting operations of Food & Beverage.

The Safety Professional will report to the Manager, Safety.
What You Will Do:

This role combines enterprise safety leadership with handson food safety oversight, requiring both deep technical expertise in food safety science and regulatory compliance as well as strong influence leadership to drive results across diverse teams. Operating within one of the most complex food and beverage environments, characterized by high volume, varied venues, and a global guest base, the position demands a strong emphasis on datadriven decision making and proactive risk mitigation to continuously elevate safety performance and protect both guests and Cast Members.

On any given day, as a Safety Professional, you might:

  • Identify risks and partner with operations leadership to implement food safety and occupational safety initiatives, including HACCP, job task analysis, injury and illness trend evaluation, and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze food safety data (e.g., inspections, internal audit tools, metrics, etc.) and track corrective actions to closure.
  • Support and accompany regulatory inspections (e.g., Health Department)
  • Perform proactive field walks in restaurants, carts and retail food locations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, interpreting regulations, codes, and standards to enhance food safety performance and support best practices.
  • Drive compliance with applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements across operations.
  • Lead and support incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up.
  • Build strong partnerships across a matrix organization, collaborating with all levels of leadership and Cast Members.
  • Engage and align with local stakeholders to drive consistency and execution of safety programs.
  • Conduct industrial hygiene and monitoring and ergonomic assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Leverage data analytics and trend analysis to proactively improve safety performance.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple initiatives effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Here's what you need to be successful at this job:

  • 3+ years of food safety, public health, occupational safety experience or relevant food-safety experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Safety, Environmental Health, Occupational Health or related field
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, industry standards and best practices
  • Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with proper writing, speaking, and presenting to all levels
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse difficult situations
  • Demonstrated strong consultative and influencing skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the food and beverage industry
  • Certified Food Safety Professional (CFSP), Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS), Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designations
  • Master's Degree in related field
The hiring range for this position in Lake Buena Vista, FL is $83,000-$111,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
