Position Summary:

All American Waste is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Front Load Driver to join our team. In this role, you will safely operate a heavy-duty truck while servicing commercial customers along assigned routes. This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to safety, and the ability to navigate tight spaces and high-traffic environments.

Your Role:

  • Operates vehicle per Safety Rules, OSHA (Occupational and Safe Health Act), and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements,s as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Performs pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and completes paperwork.
  • Participate in all required company meetings, including scheduled training and safety meetings.
  • Notifies the Route Manager or Dispatch of any customer complaints, incidents, on-site service issues, or potential safety hazards.
  • Identifies and reports all containers in need of repair or replacement.
  • Effectively use the tablet to ensure the route reconciles to the service listed.
  • Completely dumps containers and leaves the customer's location free of debris with container lids closed, and enclosure doors closed without blocking driveways, alleyways, or customer doors.
  • Performs all duties scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assists other drivers as directed at meeting customer needs.
  • Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Driver's License B (CDL).
  • Commercial Driver's License Class A or B with an air brake endorsement is a plus.
  • The CDL is a requirement; therefore, an applicant must be 21.
  • Acceptable driving record required.
  • Complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle record review.
