Job Title:VP, Private BankingJob Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies for acquiring new Private Banking Clients through internal and external sources, organization/community involvement and market research.

  • Consult with clients and prospects and utilize internal strategic partners to provide customized solutions and an exceptional level of proactive client service and responsiveness based on the unique needs and expectations of the Private Banking client.

  • Act as “Quarterback” for Private Banking clients as appropriate within the bank to bring together key strategic partners with specialties in a manner that is best coordinated for the Private Banking client.

  • Sell bank deposit products

  • Provide mortgage and consumer credit solutions

  • Cross-sell other bank products where appropriate

  • Monitor the credit quality of existing clients and be proactive in the management of credit quality issues.

  • Take ownership as needed of the Private Banking client’s personal relationship – and coordinate as needed with the manager(s) of any ancillary relationships they have with the bank to maximize service efficiency.

  • Generate loan and deposit growth in accordance with bank policy and procedure.

  • Ability to understand and interpret various legal documents, such as, court orders, letters of testamentary, trust documents, durable power of attorney, bank disclosures, new accounts agreements, etc.

  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Understands the bank’s business lines and internal product partners to provide a high touch level of client services

  • Team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others

  • Ability to establish rapport and build trust with potential and existing clients

  • Ability to analyze financial information and make recommendations, provide introduction to key financial partners

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Ability to interview customers and understand requests

  • Ability to prioritize; handle multiple tasks; and work independently

  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong math and problem solving skills

  • Must maintain confidentiality of client transactions and financial records

  • Good phone voice with professional and well-groomed appearance

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, such as, computer work stations, typewriters, calculators, and copier

  • Thorough knowledge of Wealth Management procedures, bank operations, products and services offered at the bank

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training.
