Job description

TASK DESCRIPTION: This position will support the operation of the AME system, this position will support AME information processing and perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and servicing of the AME Hardware.
TASK REQUIREMENT:
1. Maintain aircraft and engine databases by processing source documents, Naval Flight Records (NAVFLIRS), Visual Information Display System/Maintenance Action Form(VIDS/MAF): make entries into AME in accordance with KAMP procedures.
2. Process Life Usage Index (LUI) data, Maintenance System Data Reports archiving, software updates, system backups and save/restore procedures.
3. Generate daily, weekly and monthly engine and aircraft reports, as required.
4. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and servicing of the Electrical Power Unit (EPU) and/or the AME server and client stations and associated network hardware and cables.
5. Ensure LUI tracking reports are provided to verify against applicable engine Aeronautical Engine Service Records prior to engine acceptance or transfer.
6. Screen all VIDS/MAF and NAVFLIRs and make entries into AME ground station.
7. Ensure removal or installation of all applicable components is recorded AME for tracking purposes.
8. Support OJT and cross-train KAF personnel.
MINIMUM PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum of four (4) years' AME operator experience on both the EPU and Ground Maintenance Support systems, including trouble-shooting software anomalies.
2. Two (2) years of maintenance experience.
3. Completion of AME operator/maintainer course required.
4. Completion of computer repair course required.
5. Basic knowledge of aircraft logbook structure and maintenance requirements.
6. No security clearance required.
