As a Senior Technical Program Manager working with across all Redshift teams, you will have the opportunity to drive programs related to Redshift releases, customers, tooling, operations, and infrastructure to support Redshift customers, improve developer productivity and quality assurance across the AWS Redshift organization. You will take ownership on our overall strategy to drive engineering productivity, ensure quality and security, streamline builds and deployments, and spearhead the organization's best practices

You will also enable building automation of critical operational functions that ensure thousands of servers across all AWS regions worldwide operate smoothly at massive scale and at lowest cost.
In this role, you will collaborate with the engineering teams to deliver the best solutions with efficient use of resources and technologies. You will make strong business cases for project prioritization and investment. You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and inspire risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit

In this role, you will:
- Drive programs for various components and deployment of Redshift releases
- Drive programs related to Redshift customer management
- Drive programs related to Redshift development, quality improvement, release management and operations
- Clarify, prioritize and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability
- Articulate program goals, desired outcomes, risks and mitigation plan clearly
- Work closely with project stakeholders to understand their schedule, cost, functionality, and quality requirements
- Assist engineering team managers in building accurate development schedules that account for cross-team dependencies and minimize delays
- Maintain and communicate the master cross-team project schedule. Collect, analyze, and report metrics that clearly and accurately reflect progress against planned goals and deliverables
- Ensure that schedule changes are tracked and communicated efficiently to the right people at the right cadence using regular weekly status reports, daily updates during critical periods, etc.
- Lead retrospectives that maximize learning and ensure that appropriate improvements are incorporated into our development processes.
