Job description

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) manages best-in-class surface transportation programs for our internal and external customers. ATS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to assist with weekly capacity planning and metrics-based transportation improvements for Relay Freight Auctions in our Intermodal network. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team in a huge growth area for Amazon and this person will be at the forefront of it all.


The person in this position will pull and analyze data, drive process improvements, standardize our processes and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current system. This job will require exceptional communication and interpersonal skills while having the ability to work independently in a high pressure environment and exercise sound judgment.

Key job responsibilities
- Prepare and Launch Intermodal Bids for Capacity needs
- Track and communicate quotes with internal partners and escalate to leadership
- Compile list of carriers with additional capacity across the network and use to fill daily/weekly capacity shortages
- Proactively communicate risks and issues to key stakeholders and recommend mitigations
- Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs
- Pull, analyze, and summarize data from numerous sources
- Manage Key performance metrics to drive business results
- Continuously work with the team to improve current processes
