Job description

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
The PMT - Tax products, will play a crucial role in defining and implementing features and tools for tax compliance. Candidates for this role must have deep domain expertise in building software products to support Tax calculation, exemption workflows, and reporting.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will partner with engineering teams and operational stakeholders to define Amazon Leo service offerings through expertly crafted working backwards and business requirements documents that translate seamlessly into product and engineering deliverables. You will leverage deep tax domain expertise-spanning exemptions, calculations, and reporting-alongside a strong understanding of tax systems and tooling to ensure compliance requirements are met across geographies.
The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative, analytical, fast-paced environments and is comfortable engaging highly technical cross-functional teams. You must demonstrate strong business judgment, ability to dive deep into data, excellent writing skills, and confidence leading executive-level reviews. Experience analyzing and implementing subscription lifecycle models with segment-specific KPIs is essential, as is the technical acumen to translate complex tax compliance requirements into scalable product solutions.
Preferred candidates bring deep understanding of modern telecommunication customer needs, with demonstrated business and operational experience in high-scale fixed, wireless, and satellite services across consumer and enterprise verticals.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with feature priotization and product roadmap tradeoffs
- Experience working with engineering and technical teams to build automated solutions
- Experience defining roadmap strategy and prioritizing deliverables for your team products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management process
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and online services on tight deadlines
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with accounting concepts and tax regulations, laws and standards

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
