Key job responsibilities
As a Building Excellence FME in Building Excellence, you'll lead the development and implementation of global facility management standards and programs that drive operational excellence across Amazon's 1700 facilities portfolio. Your primary focus will transform building maintenance strategies through data-driven solutions and innovative technologies

Core responsibilities include designing and executing facilities management frameworks that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve building reliability. You'll analyze complex facility data to identify trends, develop predictive maintenance strategies, and create scalable solutions for implementation across thousands of sites. Key deliverables include developing standardized vendor management processes, implementing performance metrics, and creating quality assurance programs that ensure consistent service delivery.

You'll partner with Regional Portfolio Managers to optimize maintenance programs, while collaborating with Design & Construction teams to improve building maintainability. Success in this role requires both strategic vision and practical execution skills. You'll need to influence diverse stakeholders, manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable results in cost reduction, operational efficiency, and sustainability.
A day in the life
By mid-morning, you're deep-diving into data analysis, identifying optimization opportunities in our preventive maintenance programs

After lunch, you're leading a workshop with Regional Portfolio Managers to implement new vendor management standards, followed by collaborating with Design & Construction on upcoming building designs. Your day could conclude by supporting an issue or creating a case for inventive building management tech. Every day brings unique challenges, requiring both strategic thinking and practical problem-solving skills
