Avid Technology Professionals is seeking a Data Scientist with a strong background in software development and systems software. The role requires proficiency in Python and experience in defensive cyber operations and machine learning techniques.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with end-to-end workflows/projects
• 3+ years of Defensive Cyber Operations experience
• 3+ years of Machine Learning techniques and statistical model evaluation
• Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph required for consideration
• Demonstrated expertise with R or Python, and SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large and small data sets
• Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), Cisco (CCNA), and/or STIGs/IAVA, Big Data Platform (BDP)
• Strong background and skills in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)/Windows/Virtual environments
• A problem solver who can get in, be given a project, and use engineering skills to determine a solution
