As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

Role Summary

The Rivian Procurement team is looking for a highly motivated and skilled professional to lead and execute projects within Commercial Van vehicle programs, including the Amazon delivery van.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will serve as a key individual contributor responsible for the end-to-end ownership of purchasing initiatives such as supplier sourcing, tooling kickoff and readiness for pre-production and production milestones. This role requires excellent self-driven leadership, communication and problem-solving skills to ensure supply chain continuity, processes optimization and the overall success of new and existing programs.

In this role, you are expected to drive results by frequently engaging with cross-functional managers to communicate risks, dependencies, and drive structured decision-making processes toward resolution. This position is based onsite in Plymouth, Michigan and reports to the Sr. Manager of Procurement Program Management.

Act as the ‘voice of the program’ back to purchasing to ensure timely completion of deliverables and goals to support the vehicle program

  • Risk Mitigation: Uncover and clearly articulate risks to senior leadership and internal stakeholders

  • Procurement/Supplier Expertise: Understand the various factors of impact including economic, political, and technology landscapes with some direction. Support leadership to achieve current and future strategic initiatives.

  • Technical Skills: Own data management, analysis, and reporting across an array of applications (Google Workspace, SAP, Confluence, Jira, Databricks, HEX, etc.), particularly as it relates to supplier sourcing, risk management and leadership reporting activities. Utilize Rivian approved and provided AI tools to drive efficiencies into Purchasing processes and reporting.
