Job description

The Technical Product Manager supports the commercial success and lifecycle management of Optoma products by bridging Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, QA, and ODM engineering teams. This role focuses on product launches, competitive positioning, customer experience, product reviews, and continuous product improvement. Technical validation remains an important supporting responsibility, but the primary objective is driving product success and business growth.

Product Management & Commercial Support

•    Drive the commercial success of assigned product lines.

•    Partner with Sales to support customer opportunities and resolve technical objections.

•    Support product launches, positioning, pricing support, and sales enablement.

•    Develop FAQs, competitive battle cards, comparison guides, demo materials, and technical sales tools.

•    Manage new product setup and maintenance across NetSuite, Unity, websites, and related systems.

•    Understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.

Customer Experience & Product Lifecycle

•    Monitor product performance throughout the lifecycle.

•    Analyze customer feedback, reviews, returns, and field issues.

•    Support Customer Service and Sales with escalated issues.

•    Improve customer-facing documentation and recommend product enhancements.

Product Reviews & Industry Engagement

•    Coordinate review samples for media and influencers.

•    Verify product readiness before external evaluations.

•    Support reviewer communications while protecting confidential information.

•    Identify review risks and recommend proactive improvements.

Competitive Intelligence & Brand Reputation

•    Evaluate competing products and translate findings into business recommendations.

•    Monitor Reddit, AVS Forum, Amazon reviews, and industry communities.

•    Prepare customer sentiment and competitive insight reports.

•    Recommend actions that strengthen Optoma's brand.

Technical Product Support

•    Coordinate product qualification and validation for new product introductions.

•    Perform technical verification and compatibility testing as needed.

•    Coordinate issue resolution with ODM engineering teams.

•    Provide technical feedback supporting future product improvements.

Required Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

•    5-8 years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, Product Marketing, Technical Support, Product Engineering, or a related role.

•    Strong technical aptitude with consumer electronics, display technology, AV, or similar products.

•    Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

•    Experience with projectors, display technology, consumer electronics, gaming, or Pro AV.

•    Experience working with ODM/OEM manufacturers.

•    Experience supporting product launches and competitive analysis.

•    Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP/PIM systems.
