Job description

Would you like to be part of a team that is helping Amazon Web Services redefine the future of renewable energy, and zero carbon power grid. The AWS Infra Energy team is looking for a world-class candidate to originate, evaluate, and deliver and lead a team defining carbon free energy strategy.
The successful candidate will have experience in power project development, transmission, distribution, energy markets, nuclear and renewables.

They will have the ability to identify specific technical solutions that meet the needs of specific grid operators (TSOs) globally by collaborating with a global team across energy, engineering, legal, policy, PR teams. She/he must understand the nuance of permitting power plants, utility tariffs, and power purchasing along with industry trends in clean energy generation technology, environmental policies. They must be able to develop partnerships with global energy companies to deliver such projects.


Key job responsibilities
Support the development and execution of clean energy strategy for AWS data centers.
Lead a team and Originate, evaluate, negotiate, and deliver clean energy solutions.
Work collaboratively with Amazon Infrastructure team to deliver the respective power solutions.


Build relationships with senior leaders and other stakeholders in energy, power and utilities companies.
Analyze trends and regulations in the clean energy space to proactively identify opportunities that benefit Amazon
Manage energy projects against plans and objectives to ensure commitments are met, delivering against cost savings goals
