Job description

We're seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our ZeroTouch GSG Automation workstream. In this role, you'll design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools that validate satellite communication systems at scale. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, implement robust solutions, and drive continuous improvement in our testing processes.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test frameworks for satellite communication systems, focusing on end-to-end validation and system integration testing
- Build scalable automation solutions that reduce manual testing effort and accelerate release cycles
- Collaborate with software engineers, system engineers, and operations teams to identify automation opportunities and implement effective solutions
- Develop tools and infrastructure to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Analyze test results, identify patterns, and implement improvements to increase test coverage and reliability
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team best practices and coding standards
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions to ensure high-quality deliverables
About the team
The ZeroTouch GSG team is dedicated to automating satellite and ground communication testing to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our operations at system and feature level. We're building the next generation of test automation infrastructure that enables rapid validation of satellite communication systems with minimal to no manual intervention.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
