Job description

Senior Amazon Specialist

Department: Marketing

Location: Remote, Canada

About DESIGNME

At DESIGNME, we believe in the power of self-expression through hair. Born in Canada, we're a fast-growing indie haircare brand creating high-performing, fun, and easy-to-use products for every hair type. We're passionate about community, creativity, and empowering individuals to feel their best. Born behind the stylist chair, we're loved by artists and consumers alike.

About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned Amazon expert to join our e-commerce team as a Senior Amazon Specialist. Reporting to our Amazon Marketplace Manager, you'll take the lead on our Amazon channel across the US and Canadian marketplaces, while supporting our expansion into European markets.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role. You'll own the day-to-day operations of a well-established Amazon business, managing listings, ad campaigns, inventory, and performance, while helping shape the strategy that takes it to the next level. You'll dig into the data, spot what's working, and turn insights into action. You'll also play a key role in supporting our European marketplace expansion, working with agency partners to bring our brand to new audiences.

Our Amazon Marketplace Manager will be going on maternity leave, and we're looking for someone ready to step up and lead the channel during that time, and continue growing within the team upon her return.

If you're energized by owning a channel, getting into the details, and seeing your work directly impact revenue, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

Amazon Channel Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Own and drive the overall Amazon channel strategy across the existing marketplaces (Canada and USA), with a clear focus on achieving sales, revenue, and profitability targets
  • Develop and execute growth strategies to increase market share, improve conversion rates, and maximize revenue
  • Monitor channel health and proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, reduce costs, and strengthen competitive positioning
  • Conduct regular competitor analysis and market research to stay ahead of trends, spot opportunities, and adjust strategies accordingly

Listings & Content Optimization

  • Audit, optimize, and maintain product listings across the catalogs: titles, bullet points, descriptions, A+ content, and brand storefronts
  • Create compelling product content that highlights key features and benefits, optimized for both search visibility and conversion
  • Apply SEO best practices and keyword strategy to maximize organic discoverability across all active marketplaces
  • Partner with the creative team to ensure content meets Amazon requirements while staying on-brand

PPC & Advertising Management

  • Manage and optimize Amazon advertising campaigns, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP
  • Own advertising budgets and ACoS/TACoS targets, continuously testing bids, budgets, targeting, and campaign structure to drive performance and achieve KPIs
  • Identify emerging Amazon ad formats and opportunities to test and scale

European Marketplace Expansion

  • Support the expansion into European Amazon marketplaces, by managing agency partners, coordinating listing set up and monitoring campaign activation
  • Oversee the setup and launch of advertising campaigns across new EU marketplaces, ensuring alignment with our North American strategy and brand standards
  • Establish performance benchmarks for new markets and build reporting frameworks to track launch progress and agency performance

Inventory & Operations

  • Monitor inventory levels across the US and Canadian FBA operations, track sell-through rates, and collaborate with the operations team to ensure optimal stock availability
  • Proactively flag and prevent out-of-stock situations, excess inventory, and stranded listings
  • Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to support inventory planning for new marketplace launches in Europe

Analytics & Reporting

  • Build and maintain regular performance reporting across sales, traffic, conversion, advertising metrics, and revenue growth
  • Present performance findings and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders

Cross-Functional & Partner Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams, including operations, customer experience, and creative, to align the Amazon channel with broader business objectives
  • Manage relationships with any external Amazon agencies or partners, collaborating on joint strategies that align with brand goals
  • Stay current with Amazon trends, policy changes, and best practices, and proactively implement updates to maintain a competitive edge

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing & scaling a multi-million dollar Amazon business, with strong fluency in both Vendor Central and Seller Central (FBA)
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce brand management across the full funnel - advertising, listing optimization, SEO, content creation, and demand planning
  • Proven track record managing Amazon PPC campaigns at scale, with demonstrated impact on revenue, ACoS, and growth
  • Superior analytical skills — comfortable pulling insights from Seller Central, Vendor Central, and third-party tools, with strong proficiency in Excel and retail math fundamentals
  • Experience with Amazon tools and platforms such as Helium 10, SellerApp, DataRova, or similar
  • Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable executing — you can set direction and get into the weeds when needed
  • Highly organized, able to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear, confident communicator who can translate Amazon performance data into business-level insights for non-Amazon stakeholders
  • Background in a B2C consumer brand environment
  • Experience working with or managing external Amazon agencies or specialist partners

Why Join DESIGNME?

  • Work with a passionate, collaborative team at a fast-growing indie brand.
  • Shape how DESIGNME connects with stylists and consumers every day across Amazon marketplaces!
  • Creative, fun, and flexible environment with room to grow—and plenty of good hair days.
  • Opportunity to work with a fast-growing professional hair brand
  • Collaborative culture with strong cross-functional partnership
  • Work remotely and the option to join fun company events time to time!
  • Paid Time Off, Statutory Holidays in your country, and 1-week of company office closure dates during the Holidays
  • People programs: Training & Development Program, Employee Product Purchase Program, Employee Referral Program, etc.
