Our expertise spans the entire system lifecycle-from research and development through operational deployment-leveraging Agile development, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), cloud technologies, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), digital signal processing, and data analytics. At PSG, you'll work alongside talented engineers solving complex national security challenges while helping shape next-generation cloud and software solutions.
Position Overview
Prime Solutions Group is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer with extensive experience designing, automating, and securing AWS cloud environments supporting mission-critical government programs.
In this role, you'll collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and program leadership to develop scalable, secure cloud environments throughout the software development lifecycle. You'll help drive automation, security, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) best practices while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical strategy.
The ideal candidate thrives in an Agile environment, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and has a passion for automation, cloud security, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and cloud-native solutions.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, security scanning, and deployments.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS.
  • Implement DevSecOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Agile software development teams to integrate security, automation, and operational excellence into cloud environments.
  • Monitor cloud environments using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS X-Ray, and related monitoring tools.
  • Manage identity, access, secrets, and encryption using IAM, AWS Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, and PKI.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, threat modeling, and security remediation using Amazon Inspector, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and related AWS security services.
  • Automate operational tasks using AWS Systems Manager, AWS CLI, SDKs, and scripting languages.
  • Develop and enforce cloud governance, compliance, and Zero Trust security principles.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application deployment issues.
  • Conduct code reviews and contribute to infrastructure automation and software quality improvements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across DevSecOps initiatives.
  • Stay current on emerging cloud technologies, cybersecurity trends, and DevSecOps best practices.

Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI with CI Poly
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience designing and supporting secure AWS cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK).
  • Experience with Git and modern source control workflows.
  • Strong scripting or programming experience using Python.
  • Experience administering Linux and Windows environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
