The Dishwasher is a fundamental part of our kitchen staff, ensuring that all cooking and serving utensils, as well as other miscellaneous items, are cleaned and sanitized. This role contributes to the overall cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen and dining area, supporting the restaurant's operations and adherence to health standards. 
Responsibilities: 
 
  • Maintain a steady workflow to keep up with the needs of the kitchen and dining area, preventing any backups of dirty dishes.
  • Ensure all cleaned items are sanitized and restocked promptly to their proper places.
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of dishwashing equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to management.
  • Keep track of cleaning supplies and promptly notify management when replenishment is needed.
  • Assist in keeping the back of the house and restrooms clean and orderly.
  • Manage waste disposal efficiently, ensuring garbage areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Adhere to strict safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Follow all company policies as described in the Employee Handbook, fostering a cooperative and respectful workplace.
  • Perform additional cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed to support the overall operations of the restaurant.

Qualifications: 
 
  • Experience in operating dishwashing machines and using various cleaning supplies efficiently.
  • Ability to wash, sanitize, and dry all kitchenware and utensils thoroughly.
  • Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in safely using and operating all necessary kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Effective communicator, capable of understanding and following both written and spoken instructions.
  • Able to multitask and work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in confined and potentially crowded spaces with variable noise and temperature levels.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain mobility throughout the shift, which may include navigating challenging surfaces.
