Job description

Job Summary
St. Christopher's Hospital for Children
The Registered Respiratory Therapist PRN will assess patient's condition and evaluates all data to determine the appropriateness of the prescribed respiratory care. Participates in the development and delivery of the respiratory care plan in accordance with department policies and procedures. In addition, this position is responsible to overseeing all aspects of Respiratory Care department including but not limited to, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, specialty gas administration, aerosolized medication therapy, chest physiotherapy, blood gas analysis, patient care assessment, and working on a multi-disciplinary team. Therapists will be a clinical resource and respond to all calls/pages from staff therapist and other disciplines in the hospital requiring assistance. Reports directly to the Department Manager. #STC

Education Requirements
  • 2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree
  • Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
