Job Summary:
Dynamic Campus is seeking a Chief Information Officer for Alvernia University, located in Reading, Pennsylvania. The CIO will engage with higher education leaders to leverage technology for addressing challenges and maximizing opportunities, while fostering teamwork and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop and maintain a strong, positive relationship with the client Contract Administrator and campus constituents
โ€ข Foster and lead open communications with the assigned Dynamic Campus Operations Leadership Team.
โ€ข Complete the Strategic Annual Work Plan in collaboration with Campus Leadership and Dynamic Campus Resources
โ€ข Hold regularly scheduled meetings with institution leadership on significant site issues and successes, risks, opportunities, and general progress towards contractual and business goals
โ€ข Establish an IT governance practice to ensure the appropriate acquisition, use and cost-effective application of technology
โ€ข Identify and promote the use, support and realization of innovative technologies at the institution
โ€ข Implement Dynamic Campus best-practice processes, policies, and procedures, that ensure consistent high quality services
โ€ข Respond to audit recommendations and findings and implement and oversee corrective measures to rectify any deficiencies
โ€ข Identify opportunities for efficiencies through technological and workflow improvements and deploy necessary resources to achieve them
โ€ข Analyze IT Operating budget and identify potential areas for cost savings and efficiencies
โ€ข Negotiate with 3rd party vendors to achieve best pricing and terms for the partner institution
โ€ข Lead by example and mentor the IT Staff
โ€ข Develop and draft Executive Review reports to showcase successes, value-add, and ROI
โ€ข Adhere to the Dynamic Campus best core values and expectations
โ€ข Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข A Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s Degree in IT, CIS, or a related field
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IT strategies, tactical plans, and annual work plans
โ€ข Solid understanding of budgeting and business operations
โ€ข Experience in negotiating vendor relationships and contracts
โ€ข Excellent organizational and leadership skills
โ€ข Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
โ€ข Ability to manage competing priorities in a highly demanding environment
โ€ข Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50lbs
โ€ข Ability to sit and stand for long periods at a time
โ€ข Ability to crawl under desk for any technology need
โ€ข Adhere to Dynamic Campus Core Values
Preferred:
โ€ข 3 or more years of Higher Education experience as a CIO or similar leadership position
โ€ข Experience with higher education administrative system software
โ€ข Project management knowledge and experience
