Job description

Job purpose
The Alumni Relations Administrator manages alumni information, communication, engagement, inquiries, outreach, reporting, and program coordination for Marine Corps University and Education Command graduates.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of alumni information, including contact details, graduation data, and professional achievements.
  • Facilitate communication with alumni via email, newsletters, and social media platforms to promote engagement and share relevant updates.
  • Collect and analyze alumni feedback to assess the effectiveness of support services and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage alumni inquiries and provide prompt, accurate responses to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Support the development and distribution of marketing materials that highlight alumni success stories and institutional achievements.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to develop programs that support alumni professional development and lifelong learning.
  • Prepare regular reports on alumni engagement metrics, including participation rates, event attendance, etc.
  • Conduct outreach to newly graduated alumni to introduce available support services and encourage ongoing engagement.
  • Update alumni profiles and contact information regularly to ensure accuracy and support effective communication.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with military alumni organizations or veterans' programs preferred.

Education
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, Marketing, Information Management, or a related field.

Years of Relative Work Experience:
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in alumni relations, program coordination, higher education support, or military education.

Clearance:
  • Minimum Tier 1 background investigation and Government-access eligibility are required; an active Secret clearance is required before supporting classified events or tasks.
