The Division of Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Georgia advances the goals, objectives, and priorities of the university by generating private financial support, building, and maintaining relationships with alumni and donors, and assisting students with career development opportunities.
Office of Development
In 1784, the Georgia General Assembly gifted 40,000 acres for what would become the birthplace of public higher education. Centuries later, the UGA Office of Development pursues that same spirit of philanthropy. Position Summary
Reporting to the division's Associate Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations (DAR), this position is responsible for independently performing high level administrative duties for theAssociate Vice President for Development & Alumni Relations, Senior Executive Director of Development and team within the Office of Industry & Foundation Partnerships, the Senior Director of Strategy & Data, the Office of Business Engagement team, and the Office of Foundation Relations team.
This position plays a critical role for the Division of Development & Alumni Relations (DAR) by assisting teams that support development efforts across the division and campus. It is critical this position manage its responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner and be able to effectively engage with different personality types throughout the division.
Department and/or unit assignments for this position are subject to change in response to organizational or operational requirements. The position also serves as backup for other administrative support roles to ensure coverage during absences or highvolume periods.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

• Professional experience in an office setting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to deal effectively and professionally with a variety of people at all levels of management within and external to a university environment.
• Proven ability to communicate professionally and effectively across multiple platforms, including email, social media posts, blog posts, press releases, portions of stewardship reports, donor letters of gratitude, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion while maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational abilities and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple project timelines.
• Ability to provide solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Outlook.

Executive-Level Administrative Support - Associate Vice President and Senior Executive Director

• Provide proactive, high-level administrative support to the Assistant Vice President and Senior Executive Director exercising discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
• Manage complex calendars, prioritizing logistics, preparation, follow-up, meeting sequencing, and briefing materials.
• Plan, prepare, and execute internal and external meetings, donor/prospect meetings, and high-level campus visits, including agendas, briefings, technology setup, materials, and follow-up.
• Anticipate executive needs, streamline repeatable processes, and prepare materials to support efficient operations.
• Draft, proofread, and distribute confidential communications for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate all travel logistics, including transportation, lodging, forms, and reimbursements, ensuring compliance with university and foundation policies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and databases, prepare reports, manage files, and ensure data integrity in accordance with institutional standards.
• Collaborate with internal partners across campus and within Development and Alumni Relations to support coordinated initiatives, events, and communications.

• Draft, proofread, and distribute confidential correspondence to internal and external stakeholders.
