Job description

Position Purpose:
The general purpose of the Charis Alumni Manager is to assist in building out a comprehensive process of discipleship for those students who have completed Year 2 and Year 3 of Charis Bible College. This position would oversee the Charis Alumni experience, engage with internal operational teams to ensure the integrity of the vision as communicated by Executive Charis leadership, and endeavor to assist in creating a pathway for success for all Alumni who desire to stay engaged with the vision of Charis Bible College.
This role also serves as the primary point of communication to alumni, engaging them through direct outreach, events, video, and other channels to foster strong relationships and ongoing connections. The Alumni Manager develops and oversees initiatives that build community, encourage alumni involvement in Bible studies and outreach, and support fundraising efforts, while ensuring consistent follow-through and alignment across teams.
Essential Duties:
  • Oversee and steward the overall alumni experience in alignment with Charis leadership's vision.
  • Serve as the primary point of communication and relationship for alumni.
  • Foster a strong sense of community, connection, and shared mission among alumni.
  • Communicate regularly with alumni through email, video, events, stage presence, and other channels.
  • Plan and execute alumni events, including meet-and-greets and engagement opportunities.
  • Develop systems that equip alumni to start Bible studies and promote Charis through word of mouth.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and adjust strategies to improve participation and impact
  • Track and coordinate alumni-related initiatives, ensuring timelines, resources, and commitments are met.
  • Ensures that all staff members under their authority meet their objectives and operate in alignment with Charis' standards of excellence and doctrinal integrity.
  • Responsible for establishing strong standards of sound doctrine in Charis Bible College's alumni materials and fostering a Christ-centered culture throughout alumni operations.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Chairs Faculty to ensure operational and strategic alignment across all Alumni functions.
  • Communicates on a constant basis with the Senior Executive Director of Charis Bible College to receive strategic direction, report progress on initiatives, and align on major decisions affecting the Charis alumni.
  • Leads regular meetings to ensure unity of purpose, share information, and synchronize efforts in congruence with the Charis culture.
  • Build and maintain a clear pathway for ongoing discipleship and engagement post-graduation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including on stage and on camera.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including operating Learning Management and Work Management systems.
  • Must be able to effectively operate a Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to collaborate with multiple teams that support the alumni programs.

Requirements:
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • A Charis Bible College graduate is required.
  • Must pass all required checks.

Experience:
  • At least 2 years of ministry experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading or overseeing teams or projects.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
